Both Trenbolone and Nandrolone are 19-nor AAS — yet their pharmacology could hardly be more different. Nandrolone: 125:37 ratio, 5α-reduces to inactive DHN, weak progestin. Trenbolone: 500:500 ratio, no 5α-reduction at all, strong progestin, no aromatization. Understanding both is essential for 19-nor AAS research.

Both Trenbolone and Nandrolone lack the C-19 methyl group (19-nor). But Trenbolone has additional Δ9,11 double bonds (triene system) that radically change its pharmacology — preventing aromatization AND 5α-reduction, while dramatically increasing AR binding affinity to 3–5× testosterone.
Nandrolone's 5α-reduction to DHN (dihydronandrolone) reduces androgenicity — DHN has lower AR affinity than nandrolone. This is why nandrolone's androgenic ratio is 37. Trenbolone cannot undergo 5α-reduction at all due to its Δ11 bond. Its androgenicity comes directly from parent compound AR binding — producing the full 500 androgenic ratio.
