QSC Peptides
Testosterone is the primary endogenous androgen and the gold-standard reference compound for all AAS research. Binds AR with 100% activity (the 100:100 baseline). Aromatizes to estradiol via CYP19A1. QSC Peptides offers Enanthate (250mg/mL), Cypionate (250mg/mL), Propionate (100mg/mL), and Suspension — all ≥99% purity, free USA shipping.

Testosterone (17β-hydroxy-4-androsten-3-one) is the primary male sex hormone — a C19 steroid produced mainly in Leydig cells of the testes. It is the endogenous agonist of the androgen receptor (AR), a nuclear receptor that regulates gene expression governing muscle protein synthesis, bone density, erythropoiesis, and secondary sexual characteristics.
Testosterone binds AR with full agonist activity (Kd ~1 nM). The ligand-bound AR homodimerizes, translocates to the nucleus, and binds androgen response elements (ARE: 5'-TGTTCT-3') in promoters of target genes. Key anabolic target genes include: IGF-1, MyHC (myosin heavy chain), follistatin (myostatin antagonist), and nitrogen retention factors.
Testosterone is a substrate for aromatase (CYP19A1), which converts it to estradiol (E2) in adipose tissue, muscle, liver, and brain. E2 exerts anabolic effects through estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) — contributing to bone mineral density and potentially muscle mass. This aromatization distinguishes testosterone from DHT derivatives and 19-nor compounds in research.
5α-reductase converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in skin, prostate, and scalp. DHT binds AR with 3–5× higher affinity than testosterone, mediating androgenic effects in androgen-sensitive tissues. This is why DHT-derived AAS (Anavar, Winstrol, Masteron) have different androgenic profiles than testosterone.
The ester bond determines release kinetics from the injection depot. Longer carbon chains = slower hydrolysis = longer half-life. QSC Peptides offers: Enanthate (C7, ~7 day t½), Cypionate (C8, ~8 day t½), Propionate (C3, ~2 day t½), and Suspension (no ester, <1 day t½).
Testosterone is the reference compound for all androgen receptor research — every other AAS is characterized relative to testosterone's 100:100 anabolic:androgenic baseline.
